Locally Grown, Greenhouse Fresh

Our greenhouse has been a part of the business since the very beginning.  We started out growing vegetables and plants back in 1900.  Over the years the greenhouses expanded and we grew bedding plants, blooming and green plants as well as many of our own cut flowers.

Since 1989, when Ruth and Henning returned to Forth Floral, we have remodeled most of the greenhouses.  Our greenhouses are now modern, computerized, and energy efficient.  Henning, trained in Germany as a Gartnermeister, or "Master Grower", grows all of the bedding plants, perennials, and hanging baskets right here.  All of our blooming plants are produced here, including, Poinsettias, Easter LIlies, Azaleas, Kalanchoes, Hibiscus, Cyclamen, Hydrangeas, and all the spring bulb plants.  

In addition, many of our fresh cut flowers are picked daily.  These include gerbera daisies, lilies, iris, tulips, daffodils, freesias, anenomes, and ranunculus in season.  We're proud to carry on this locally grown, greenhouse fresh tradition!
